Welcome to C.C.C.
I wanted to share some exciting updates about our facility. The Canine Coaching Club (CCC) is making a subtle change to its name and will now be known as Canine Coaching Center. After many dedicated years at the helm, David and Carla, who have been running this wonderful facility, will be enjoying a well-deserved retirement starting June 1, 2026. Their commitment and warmth have shaped CCC into what it is today, and we will truly miss them as they embark on this next chapter.
Stepping up to take over ownership is Diana Crago, who brings great enthusiasm and passion to the role. CCC remains Thunder Bay's largest privately owned dog training facility, offering a welcoming and friendly environment for canine enthusiasts at every level. Our mission continues to be supporting pet owners in achieving well-trained companions, whether your dog is purebred or a delightful mix. We embrace all breeds and thrive on helping your canine friend develop their skills through brain training.
At CCC, your dogs are our demo dogs-we love making them the stars of our classes and seeing them shine. Thank you for being part of our community and supporting us though this exciting transition.

Our very popular Puppy Headstart & Puppy Performance classes have paved the road to success for many canines in Thunder Bay. Canine Coaching Center also teaches all levels of Competitive Obedience and Rally (CKC). CCC also has a large variety of agility classes ranging from Foundations to Competition levels. There is now a Grids and More agility on Tuesday afternoons. We have Nosework on Saturdays. See our "Classes" link on the main menu for more information.
Our staff consists of very seasoned, credible instructors. All of our classes have two or more assistants with one head-up instructor. We limit our classes to only 8 participants in each class. CCC will do privates for those needing 'special' assistance, and we sell blocks of mat time for the drop in Show, Rally & Obedience. Often 'keeners' will rent mat time during the day in order to 'sharpen' their skills. Rentals for meetings, matches & trials are also available.
Come in, have a cup of coffee, socialize, and do some 'canine shopping' ~ we offer a large variety of obedience & show accessories in our retail section.
Our Training Center
We pride ourselves with having 6,000 square feet of training area. Centrally located in the intercity area we are just one block off the beaten path. We have a large, safe exercise area away from the dangers of busy traffic, and ample parking space.
All of our classes have a maximum of 8 dogs per class with 2 instructors.( needs to be changed)We strive to keep a clean training environment.The floors are 3/4 inch rubber matting for the comfort of both our students and their dogs.
Converted from a warehouse, our facility is well insulated to provide us with cool summer temperatures indoors and comfortable warm temperatures during the fall and winter.
Our training center also has a small retail section where training items are available (collars, leads, dumbbells, toys, bait). We have an office area and a large lounge area where students & friends can gather to eat, have a coffee and socialize. With a fully equipped kitchen we are self-sufficient and able to host a variety of workshops and other canine related events.
